Kagwerks, a leader in advanced tactical technologies, and DTC North America today announced the appointment of Aydin Mohtashamian as President of Kagwerks and President of DTC North America. Mohtashamian brings more than 20 years of executive experience in defense technology, integrated sensing, UAS, and C5ISR solutions, with a strong record of accelerating growth and delivering innovative, mission-focused capabilities.
Mohtashamian is recognized for guiding large engineering, manufacturing, and product organizations, driving profitability, and establishing high-impact partnerships across defense markets. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Parry Labs, overseeing operations and technology development across five sites. His leadership delivered major contract wins in UAS integration and electronic warfare, expanded manufacturing capacity, and advanced long-term product strategies including AI-enabled sensing and modular open-architecture solutions.
Prior to Parry Labs, Mohtashamian served as President of QinetiQ’s C5ISR Solutions business, where he increased revenue, improved margins, and led key captures in next-generation payloads and Army modernization efforts. His earlier roles at MTEQ and L3 Technologies included delivering large-scale engineering and production programs ahead of schedule and under budget.

Mohtashamian holds an MBA from the University of Maryland, an MS in Systems Engineering from Texas A&M University, and a BS in Chemistry/Nuclear Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He is a decorated U.S. Army veteran, awarded the Legion of Merit, two Bronze Stars, the Meritorious Service Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal.
